Flutter & Mobile App Development

Muhammed Shibli is a Flutter and mobile app developer with 3 years of experience who builds cross-platform apps for Android and iOS, from UI to Play Store and App Store release.

The stack

Flutter and Dart are the core. Around them: the full Firebase suite (Firestore, Auth, Cloud Functions, Storage, Hosting, FCM push, Dynamic Links), REST API integration, Razorpay for payments, Agora for live audio and video, Google Maps with Distance Matrix for location features, AdMob for monetization, and NFC where the hardware calls for it. When a feature needs to go deeper than Flutter allows, I write native Kotlin — I've shipped a caller ID app whose call screens are pure native Android, because that's what the feature required.

What "end-to-end" actually means

A lot of developers mean "I write the screens." I mean the whole path to users' hands: implementing the design faithfully, state management that doesn't rot, payment integration with server-side verification, push notifications people actually receive, then the part nobody talks about — store review. Play Store policy checks, App Store rejections, TestFlight distribution, resubmissions, staged rollout. The app isn't done when the code compiles; it's done when strangers can install it.

What I've shipped

Three years of production apps across categories: hotel booking with Maps-based distance search (ID Rooms), live streaming with real-time gifting (Kalise and Fireon Live), multi-role food delivery with order tracking, a school app with live bus tracking for parents (Suraj Education), marketplace apps, a news app monetized with AdMob, a hospital management app, and an NFC digital profile app. Different domains, same discipline: real users, real payments, real store reviews.

How AI fits into my workflow

I use AI-assisted development daily — Claude Code, Cursor, MCP workflows. Honest framing: it makes me faster at the mechanical parts, which makes fixed quotes cheaper than they'd otherwise be. Every line still gets reviewed by me before it ships, because the tools are good but the responsibility is mine.

Where I work

I'm based in Bengaluru and from Kozhikode, Kerala, so I've written more about how location factors into projects there — see Bengaluru, Kerala, Kochi, Kozhikode. That said, almost everything I build ships remotely. I'm working with clients across India — Delhi, Chennai, Goa, and beyond — the same way I work with clients in Kerala or Karnataka: a scoping call, a fixed quote in ₹ or $, and regular updates through the build. Wherever you are, the process doesn't change.

Frequently asked questions

Flutter vs native in 2026 — which should you choose?

For most product apps, Flutter: one codebase, two platforms, native-feeling UI, and a mature ecosystem. Native (Kotlin/Swift) wins when you need deep platform integration — I built a caller ID app in native Kotlin because Flutter can't take over the Android call screen. The honest answer is a per-feature decision, and I've shipped both, so I'll tell you which your app actually needs.

How much does it cost to build an app in India?

It depends on scope. A focused single-purpose app is at the lower end; apps with payments, real-time features like chat or live streaming, and multiple user roles cost meaningfully more. Beware of quotes that sound too cheap — they usually exclude the unglamorous work like store review handling and release management. Tell me what you're building and I'll give you a fixed quote, in ₹ or $.

Do you handle Play Store and App Store publishing?

Yes, end to end: store listings, signing, review submissions, rejection handling, TestFlight builds for iOS, and staged rollouts. I've shipped production apps to both stores and dealt with the review process many times.

Can you add payments (Razorpay/UPI) to my app?

Yes. I've integrated Razorpay in production apps, including in-app gifting for a live streaming app. UPI, cards, subscriptions, and webhook-verified server-side confirmation are all standard work.

Do you maintain apps after launch?

Yes. OS updates, dependency upgrades, store policy changes, and new features. Maintenance can be a retainer or ad-hoc — most clients start with a build and stay for maintenance.

Have an app in mind?

Send me the idea, a design, or an existing codebase. I'll tell you what it takes to ship it — with a fixed quote.
